Test of English as a Foreign Language is an internet based test which is given to demonstrate English language proficiency and is often a requirement for students applying to US Universities.
TOEFL® is about four and half hours long and is taken entirely online. The scores are out of 120 and are valid for two years. The test is offered about 30-40 times in a year and has about 4500 test centers in 165 countries.

IELTS
IELTS tests on the English proficiency of non-native speakers for the countries where English is not an official language.
The IELTS exam format comes in academic or general training where general writing is for migrations while academic writing is for study abroad, with variation in the reading and writing components. All the modules are on a scale of band 9. The exam comprises of four modules: listening, reading, writing and speaking

PTE
Pearson Language Tests are conducted to assess and validate the English language usage of non-native English speakers. The tests include PTE Academic, PTE General and PTE Young Learners.
During three-hour test, there will be three main parts to the test: speaking, writing (together), listening and reading. There are twenty different question formats, ranging from multiple choice to essay writing and interpreting information.

The SAT is a standardized test for most college admissions in the United States but validated by universities across the globe.
The SAT is a 3 hours and 45 minutes test that measures critical reading, writing, and mathematical reasoning skills. The scores for each section will be reported on an 800-point scale making a total of 2400 point.

GRE Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills. It consists of three sections under which you are tested - Verbal reasoning, Quantitative reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
The computer-based GRE revised General Test is for about three hours and 45 minutes. There are six sections with a 10-minute break following the third section.
